2019 Dog License -
Attention: Dog Owners If you are a dog owner and reside in the Village of Hilbert you MUST have a license for your dog which needs to be renewed every year. Monday, December 3, 2018 is the first day that you may get your new 2019 dog licenses. What you are required to have with you before the license can be issued: Proof of rabies vaccination. Sufficient proof of rabies vaccinations is a certificate from the veterinarian. Simply bringing in a copy of last years license does not constitute proof of rabies vaccination. Each year we need to see the expiration of the rabies shot date before we will license a dog. If you cannot present a certificate of rabies vaccination you will not be issued a license. If this is the first time a license will be issued for your dog we require proof from the veterinarian if the dog is spayed or neutered, or if the procedure has been done since the last time the dog was licensed. State law requires that all dogs be licensed by April 1, 2019 or penalties will be issued to the owner. Dog licenses will be the same cost as last year: $3.00 if the dog is fixed $8.00 if the dog is not fixed You may obtain your licenses at the Village Clerks office during regular business hours: Monday thru Friday 7:30 a.m. thru 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. thru 4 p.m. Any questions please contact the office at 920-853-3241.
